Villagers teach in a Govt school, enrollments go up from Zero to 263: NEENV Impact

Alwar: Within a span of one year senior secondary school situated in Dhakpuri, Alwar underwent a tremendous change. Last year school had zero admissions and no teachers but within few months NEENV Campaign made a huge impact in face-lifting of this school. Now at present it has as much as 263 students and a few newly appointed teachers after several newspaper stories highlighted its pathetic conditions.

This school runs from class 1st – class 12th and nearby villagers despite being illiterate themselves have made selfless efforts to give this school a face-lift by painting the walls, placing of new furniture, and good toilet facility. They not only send their children to this school but also make it a point that teachers also turn up everyday without failure.

Referring to the school records children from all nearby villages took admission in last year. Many villagers have shifted their children from Private schools to this school. NEENV Campaign of Rajasthan Patrika has been a key motivator and successfully helped in its upliftment.
