Students opt private tuitions, Schools fail to complete the course


010 ..barmer (4) Jaipur: Teacher crunch and untimely transfers have been affecting students in most of the government schools in Rajasthan. According to the Academic Calendar Half Yearly exams will be held next month but students and teachers are complaining as the course as course is still incomplete in most of the schools. MAG team conducted a survey in different city schools.

In Govt Upper Primary School in Maliviya Nagar Sector-2, three posts are vacant in English, Political Science and Science Subjects. According to the School Principal Asha Gupta, 38 teachers have been assigned over 1120 students out of which 4 posts are vacant . Another Govt School situated in the Sethi Colony Maliviya Nagar has a similar story to tell with just 9 assigned teaching posts and300 students.

Students forced to opt for Tuitions:

Students of Govt school are forced to opt for private tuitions to complete their course which remained untouched in school due to unavailability of teachers. Students are taking tuitions for Science and English subjects as half yearly exams are nearing. Some students also demand for the extra classes in schools.
