Railway Station in Sagar lacks facility for Persons With Disabilities: Ahsaas

Sagar: Physically Disabled Passengers who commute via Railway in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh are unhappy as they feel left-out since announcements made at the platform are meant only for the normal passenger coaches without keeping any provision for announcement facility for special coaches.

 

Bhagirath and Rakesh Choudhary two commuters who are also physically disabled state  Rail journey complicated. While sharing their experience they said, “Usually announcer mentions the spot of every single coach and indicates the position of ts stoppage at the platform but there is no separate technique for visually impaired or hearing impaired commuters who face difficulty every day”.

 

The Disable People also said that despite of bringing such issues in front of the Railway Administration, nothing concrete has been done so far. Also the demand of circulating the information in Braille has also been put. Also Visually impaired have also presented a demand in front of Railway Recruitment Board suggesting that VI should be exempted from the conventional written examination.
