Neglected by Govt, Schools run with Corporate and Parents’ Support: Neenv

Jaipur: Pink city may be on the chart of SMART CITY but government run schools here still await basic infrastructure and learning environment. Who can imagine a good school without teachers or without classrooms? Teachers’ vacancies has emerged a big issue already. Solution also lay with People and Corporate if they become trustees of these schools.

NEENV campaign has been focusing on community participation to improve schools while building public pressure on Education Department to take stock of realities and act. Recently social organizations and corporate have taken lead in improving schools by adopting them.

Rajkiya Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Sukhapuria a secondary schoolof the city is one such school to have earned attention of some private companies and their trustees who have invested money here for the better facilities.Some of classes were being run under temporary shades and playground failed to excite students because of lacks sports equipment. Now, its fortune is changing. The toilets are constructed by Bosch company. Parents have also donated furniture to ensure comfort of their kids and much more is in the pipeline.
