Govt Students in Ratlam deprived of Mid Day Meals and Classrooms: Neenv

Ratlam: Lack of classrooms and unavailability of cooking space is depriving students of Govt School in Alkapuri from getting Mid Day Meals. This school has only four poorly constructed rooms that serve as classrooms for the students of class 1st-8th. With good strength of students these classrooms hardly fit them in. Students also eat in the open space surrounded by dust and sand. Mid Day Meal Coordinator Paras Jain said, ‘Since the school runs in double shift the timing to serve the meals is yet confusing.”

No only this even the school building with its worn out condition appears as an abandoned building and serves as a hangout zone for the drunkards who trespass the building.

School authorities crib that administration is paying no heed to the school building. With presence of no sweeper in this school, teachers are forced to open the gate and sweep inside the classrooms everyday. Education Officer ML Damar said that the department has already allotted money to Nagar Nigam for the construction but they returned the amount without proceeding.
