Due to lack of Teachers 48 Sanskrit Schools Shut in Rajasthan: NEENV


Neenv: In span of just two years as many as 35,000 students were forced to take transfer from the Sanskrit Schools because of the lack of teachers. Due to the negligence of education department 48 Sanskrit schools across Rajasthan have been shut and the forming of new 35 schools which was in the pipeline has also been put on halt.
Students complain that due to lack of the teaching staff no classroom studies takes place after which they realized that their future is in the dark and preferred to leave the school. The worst condition of the schools came into the light after after Mansarovar based resident Pawan Jain filed an application under Right to Information Act.
As per the information shared by Education Department, Sanskrit schools are facing staff crunch from last 15 years. These Sanskrit schools not only have dearth for Sanskrit Teachers but posts are vacant in other subjects also such as English, Science and Hindi. According to the figures around 1,500 posts of senior teacher, 1049 junior teacher and 403 lecturers are lying vacant. Not only this but 141 posts of Principal out of 142 are lying vacant.
This is to be noted that Rajasthan Patrika’s Media Action Group is trying to improve the condition of Govt Schools over a period of time. Due to the endless efforts 9 lakh new admissions took place in Govt schools.
