1.35 Lakh Vacant Teaching posts create a stir in Edu Dept: NEENV Impact

Jaipur: Despite of making regular promises to cater world class facility in the education sector of Rajasthan, not much has been done in concrete. The false promises made by Education Department are quite evident when we take a look at the numbers.

In Rajasthan near about 1.35 Lakh teacher posts are still vacant, which comprises 88 thousand posts vacant in Senior Secondary Schools and 48 in Primary Schools. As many as 1855 Posts for the Principals are also vacant while as 26, 543 lecturer posts also stay vacant. Since exam time is nearing and the key sufferers because of this deficiency have been students.

Transfer policy :

The Transfer policy for Govt teachers drafted three months ago is yet to be tabled. The policy is not taking a concrete form yet. Earlier the Department had sought suggestions from the teachers on the different points mentioned in the policy. According to the transfer policy the shifting of teachers will be done under the cited rules and regulations. This is for the first time Education Department drafted a transfer policy after the NEENV Campaign of Rajasthan patrika highlighted the hazards due to ruthless transfer of teachers in Govt Schools of Rajasthan.

Building less Schools:

In Rajasthan according to the present report near about 788 schools run either in open spaces, Mosques, temple premises or other alternate places. However 171 schools are still running in the rented accommodations while as 1,038 inside public places which again is worrying.
